New Way to Request Articles / Books Not Available at Our Library
- First, you need to update or create an Interlibrary Loan account.
- You can go to the Library Website http://library.uchc.edu and click on Interlibrary Loan.
- Click on the appropriate link, e.g., if you have a UConn Health network logon, click on the first link UConn Health faculty, staff or student Interlibrary Loan account .
- You will be prompted for a logon.
- Please follow the instructions to update or create an account.
- Once you are in the account, if you have a citation in hand, you can fill out the request form and submit it.
- Here comes the best part. If you are doing searches in OneSearch, PubMed, Scopus, OvidMedline, CINAHL, or Proquest etc., you don’t have to fill out the request form with the citation anymore. The system will automatically fill it out for you.
For example, in OneSearch, you found the article:
- Click on Find it
- Or Click on View Online
- Click on the appropriate link
- You will be prompted for a logon (if you haven’t updated/created an Interlibrary Loan account, you will be asked to update/create).
- Your request form will be filled out automatically.
- You can request the article.
- Click on Find it
- Please make sure you exit your account by closing the browser.
